If you are interested in taking a “road trip” to check off visiting your 49th or 50th state, be sure to drive through North Dakota or South Dakota.

North Dakota has 18 land border crossings along the 310 miles it shares with Saskatchewan and Manitoba.The most popular of these crossings are Portal North Portal, Peace Garden, Neche Gretna, and Pembina Emerson.

South Dakota has several itineraries to explore as you drive through. From visiting Badlands National park to seeing Mount Rushmore National Memorial, your drive to Winnipeg will surely be memorable!
