BEGINNING JULY 22, 2024, to make a reservation, modify or cancel an existing reservation, you MUST CALL THE HOTEL DIRECTLY.  Do NOT call an 800 RESERVATION NUMBER, call the hotel directly.

  • For new reservations, after July 18, 2024 the discounted group rate is based on availability.
  • Reservation CANCELLATIONS must be made at least 24 hours before arrival date to cancel without charge.
  • NAME SUBSTITUTIONS for room(s) MUST be made at least 72 hours prior to arrival.

  • GROUP RATES are available three days before and three days after the conference, based upon availability.

BEWARE OF HOUSING SCAMS

Please do not make hotel arrangements or share any personal information through any means other than directly through the hotels. If you receive a call or e-mail from an outside company stating they can make your reservation and save you money, this is a deceptive practice and is not in any way affiliated with SYTA. Please DO NOT share any information.

HOUSING POLICIES
 
HOTEL

SYTA requests that you stay at one of the 2024 SYTA Annual Conference host hotels as SYTA takes a financial risk when securing rooms for the conference. SYTA group rates are available through July 18, 2024.

If your company has a formal travel policy regarding hotels, please email this information to registration@syta.org. NYC locals that prefer to commute to our events are exempt from this policy. 
 

Attendees who are not staying at a SYTA Host Hotel will be charged an additional registration fee of $200.00 prior to conference.   

REGISTRATION

Registration is not required to reserve a room, but SYTA will be checking hotel reservation lists against registered attendees. A room reservation is subject to cancellation if a guest has not registered for conference by May 31, 2024. 

DEPOSITS

All hotel reservations for the 2024 SYTA Annual Conference require a deposit equal to a one-night room and tax at the time of booking. 

ROOM BLOCKS

Up to three (3) rooms may be reserved under one name by attendees at the contracted hotels.  A complete list of names should be submitted to Connections Housing by May 31, 2024. 

SHIPPING TO AND FROM 2024 SYTA ANNUAL CONFERENCE 

Shipping materials, collateral, or anything else to the 2024 SYTA Annual Conference to be held at the Sheraton New York Times Square?

Here are two options:

CSI WORLDWIDE (the service contractor for the 2024 conference)
  • CSI begins accepting shipments June 16 through July 26 at their discounted rate, rate increases after July 26, shipments will be accepted through August 7. Any items with anticipated arrival after August 7 should be shipped directly to the hotel. A reminder, the hotel has limited storage space.
  • CSI will hold your shipment until the conference and deliver to the Sheraton.
  • Instructions, order form and shipping labels are included in their shipping document.
    • Fees are included on the order form
  • Using CSI gives you the advantage of shipping early to ensure your shipment arrives on time.

If you’re coming from far away, you’ll probably want to fly into one of the New York City area’s major airports. There are a number of hotels conveniently located near the City’s airports.

Those starting from a nearby suburb can reach NYC by NJ Transit, Long Island Rail Road or Metro-North Railroad.

For some travelers, especially those coming from other East Coast cities, buses are an affordable and convenient travel option. New York City enjoys service from such companies as Megabus, FlixBus and Greyhound, as well as other local carriers.

GETTING AROUND NYC

New York is an excellent walking city, and getting around by foot is the best way to familiarize yourself with neighborhoods and their (sometimes subtle) divisions. MTA SUBWAYS AND BUSES
An OMNY card or a MetroCard (though that is being discontinued) gets you access to trains and buses that travel to nearly every corner of the City. All public transit buses are accessible to people with disabilities, as well as portions of the subway system.
