Sightseeing Tours in Manhattan

Thursday, August 8th | 11:30AM – 4:30PM

Please note: Departure from the Sheraton at 11:30AM, the tour will begin at 12:30PM. Lunch will be included in all Thursday afternoon tours. All Thursday tours will end in Manhattan by 4:30PM with enough time for delegates to get to the Thursday evening events.  

Tour 1: Uptown: “Harlem USA” – A motorcoach-guided tour of Harlem featuring lunch and a tour of the magnificent Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, plus additional activities to be confirmed  

Tour 2: Midtown: “Sail, Savor, & Culture”– Set sail on the Spirit of New York Signature Lunch Cruise followed by a tour of the MoMA and a visit to The Paley Center for Media  

Please note that the Spirit of New York Tour requires attendees to be on board for their lunch cruise at 11:30am sharp 

Tour 3: Midtown: “Three if By Sea” – Lunch at La Barca Cantina, a visit to the Intrepid Museum, and then delegate’s choice of Big City Tourism’s Liberty Cruise or a speedboat tour on The Beast 

Tour 4: Midtown: “There’s Always Time for Times Square” – Lunch and games at Dave and Buster’s and a visit to Madame Tussaud’s, followed by the delegate’s choice of the Museum of Broadway or RiseNY 

Tour 5: Midtown: “Rockefeller Center” – Lunch, a visit to the Top of the Rock, and the Radio City Music Hall Tour Experience, plus additional activities to be confirmed. 

Tour 6: Midtown: “Lincoln Center” – Lunch and an exploration of Lincoln Center, featuring the Metropolitan Opera and the New York Philharmonic 

Tour 7: Midtown: “SUMMIT All Up” – Lunch followed by the Official Grand Central Tour, a visit to SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, and a guided tour of the United Nations  

Tour 8: Downtown: “Lower Manhattan History” – Lunch at The Seaport, followed by a visit to the South Street Seaport with additional history-themed activities to be confirmed  

Tour 9: Downtown : “Lower Manhattan Freedom” – Lunch at One World Observatory followed by a visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum with additional activities to be confirmed  

Tour 10: Downtown: “Lower Manhattan Arts and Culture” – featuring lunch and a visit to the Whitney Museum of American Art, with additional cultural activities to be confirmed  

Sightseeing Tours in The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island 

Friday, August 9th | 10:00AM – 4:00PM

Please note: Breakfast will provided prior to the tour start time. Lunch will be at the attendee’s expense during Friday’s tours. This is a great opportunity to patronize a neighborhood restaurant and support the local economy – tour leaders will have conveniently located recommendations available. Your tour will allow you to return to the Sheraton in time to get ready for the evening reception.  

Tour 11: The Bronx: Take Me Out to the Bronx– Motorcoach tour to The Bronx including Yankee Stadium, a guided tour to (the real) Little Italy and a stop at The Bronx Beer Hall.

Tour 12: The Bronx: Lions, Tigers, and Bloom– Did you know that The Bronx is the greenest borough in NYC with the highest percentage of its land as dedicated parkland? Take a motorcoach tour to the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States, The Bronx Zoo, and the largest botanical garden in the United States, the New York Botanical Garden. 

Tour 13: Brooklyn: “The Brooklyn Way” – Spread love The Brooklyn Way with Spread Love Tours, The Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

Tour 14: Brooklyn: Remember Coney Island – Take MTA directly to Coney Island for an afternoon at Luna Park and the New York Aquarium. 

Tour 15: Brooklyn: Downtown Brooklyn Blueprint” – full details to be confirmed  

Tour 16: Queens: “What a Wonderful Borough” – Featuring Food on Foot Tours and a visit to the newly expanded Louis Armstrong House Museum.

Tour 17: Staten Island: “Staten Island Serenity” – Enjoy a motorcoach trip to Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden with stops at the Staten Island Museum, and the New York Chinese Scholars Garden.
