Sightseeing Tours in Manhattan

Thursday, August 8th | 11:00 AM* – 4:30 PM 

Important Notes: 

  • *Departure times vary; check your individual tour listing for details.
  • All Thursday tours will end in Manhattan by 4:30 PM with enough time for delegates to get to the Thursday evening events. 
  • Lunch will be included in all Thursday afternoon tours excluding the “Upper Best Side” tour departing at 2:00pm
  • Some tours require public transit and/or walking. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Uptown: “Harlem USA” – A motorcoach-guided tour of Harlem including Grant’s Tomb and a stop at the world-famous Apollo Theater. Enjoy outdoor lunch sponsored by Yardhouse and a tour of the magnificent Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine. This tour will depart promptly at 11:00 AM from the Sheraton lobby. 

Midtown: “Sail, Savor, & Culture”– Set sail on the Spirit of New York Signature Lunch Cruise followed by a tour of the MoMA and a visit to The Paley Center for Media. This tour will depart by motorcoach promptly at 11:00 AM from the Sheraton lobby. Please note that the Spirit of New York Tour requires attendees to be on board for their lunch cruise at 11:30 AM sharp. 

Midtown: “Three if By Sea” – Lunch with Circle Line, a visit to the Intrepid Museum, and sightseeing on Big City Tourism’s Liberty Cruise. This tour will depart by motorcoach promptly at 11:30 AM from the Sheraton lobby. 

Midtown: “There’s Always Time for Times Square” – Lunch and games at Dave & Buster’s and a visit to Madame Tussaud’s, followed by the delegate’s choice of the Museum of Broadway or RiseNY. This walking tour will depart promptly at 11:30 AM from the Sheraton lobby. 

Midtown: “Rockefeller Center” – Lunch, a visit to the Top of the Rock, and the Radio City Music Hall Tour Experience. This walking tour will depart promptly at 11:30 AM from the Sheraton lobby. This tour will depart promptly at 11:30 AM from the Sheraton lobby.

Midtown: “Lincoln Center” – Lunch and an exploration of Lincoln Center, featuring the Metropolitan Opera and the New York Philharmonic. This tour will depart by motorcoach promptly at 11:00 AM from the Sheraton lobby. 

SOLD OUT Midtown: “SUMMIT All Up” – Experience the famous pizza at John’s of Times Square  followed by a Grand Central tour lead by the Guides Association of New York City, followed by a visit to SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, and guided tour of the United Nations. Downtown: “Lower Manhattan History– Enjoy a Pier 36 landmark cruise with lunch provided by Attractions 4 Us followed by a guided tour with New York Historical Tours Close out your afternoon with a networking reception at South Street Seaport presented by The Downtown Alliance. This tour will depart by motorcoach promptly at 11:00 AM from the Sheraton lobby. 

Downtown : “Lower Manhattan Freedom” – Lunch at One World Observatory followed by a visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum and the NEW Jackie Robinson Museum. This tour will depart promptly at 11:00 AM from the Sheraton lobby.

NEW! Afternoon Tour – Uptown: “Upper Best Side” – with The American Museum of Natural History. This tour will depart promptly at 2:00 PM from the Sheraton lobby by subway. Please have lunch prior to joining your tour. All delegates participating will receive a 7-Day Unlimited Ride MetroCard!

Sightseeing Tours in The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island 

Friday, August 9th | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM 

Important Notes:  

  • For Friday sightseeing tours, delegates will depart from the Sheraton at 7:30 AM for breakfast at Applebee’s 50th Street location prior to tour departures at 9:30 AM.  
  • Lunch will be at the attendee’s expense during Friday’s tours. This is a great opportunity to patronize a neighborhood restaurant and support the local economy – tour leaders will have conveniently located recommendations available. Your tour will allow you to return to the Sheraton in time to get ready for the evening reception.   

The Bronx: Take Me Out to the BronxMotorcoach tour to The Bronx including Yankee Stadium, a guided tour to (the real) Little Italy and a stop at The Bronx Beer Hall.

Staten Island: “Staten Island Serenity” – Enjoy a trip to Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden with stops at the Staten Island Museum, and the New York Chinese Scholars Garden. This tour is partially motorcoach, partially subway and partially ferry transportation. All delegates will receive a two fare OMNY card.
