My passion for student travel is deeply personal. Before entering the travel industry, I spent years as a school counselor, but not just in one community.  I served students in many states as my husband served 20 years in the military. Those experiences gave me a broad understanding of students, educators, and families, in different environments.

Today, I am a mom of three school-aged children and of two grown children serving in the military. Service, education, resilience, and leadership have shaped my life and continue to shape how I serve this industry.

This past year on the SYTA board allowed me to listen, learn, and better understand the needs of our members. I believe that experience has prepared me to contribute in a more meaningful way. I care deeply about mentorship, relationships, and ensuring student travel continues opening doors and changing lives for generations to come.
