My connection to student travel is deeply personal. I came to Canada from Mexico as a student, and that experience changed my life. It opened doors, shaped my future, and showed me how travel can build confidence, broaden perspectives, and create opportunity. Today, as Manager, Travel Trade at Ottawa Tourism, I am proud to turn that personal journey into meaningful work that supports students and strengthens our industry.

Through my involvement with NTA and Ottawa’s Student Market Strategy Council, I have built partnerships, encouraged collaboration, and championed initiatives that help student travel thrive.

I would bring to the SYTA Board not only experience and strategic thinking, but also passion, dedication, and a genuine commitment to this mission. If elected, I would be ready to listen, contribute, and serve with heart, energy, and purpose while helping shape a strong future for student travel.
