Join Travel Industry Allied Associations in NPS Call to Action

Mar 24, 2026

There’s no shortage these days of issues government issues impacting inbound travel. IITA has been actively advocating for smart decisions and workable solutions for issues like commercial tour CUAs and International Fee Surcharge to national parks, visa fees and processing time, government shutdowns, and fully funding Brand USA.

IITA also works closely with industry partners to amplify mutual concerns and messages. The American Bus Association penned another letter to Secretary Burgum expressing concerns about the proposed per-passenger entrance fees for international visitors to National Park Service sites and calling for mass signatures to demonstrate the urgent need for the administration’s attention on the resulting issues.

These fees would disproportionately impact commercial tour and group travel operators, raise costs for international visitors, and risk reducing demand. The letter urges the Administration to reconsider this approach and work with industry stakeholders on alternative funding solutions that support our national parks without harming group travel.

IITA signed on and we encourage you to do so as well.

Please include your company name exactly as it should appear on the letter, along with your headquarters location (city and state), which will also be listed on the letter.

Your voice and support are critical to ensuring a strong, unified industry voice on this issue.
