We all have been through so much and coming together is going to be a big step in the path of healing. Seeing and re-establishing those partnerships after incurring such a challenging situation for (most likely) more than a year will be important professionally and emotionally. There will be many new faces, and it’s important to welcome them and start building those partnerships as we step forward, out of the aftermath of COVID-19. Coming together as an industry will bring healing, restoration, and hope, in addition to the business appointments and incredible educational sessions.
My expectations for the SYTA conference are always high. The week in Winnipeg out performed those expectations. We found ourselves meeting with people in every corner of the trade floor as well as events. This may have been my most productive show ever.
We have to make our own business opportunities at a trade show. The meetings are important for sure, but we have to make every minute count. This year, SYTA provided many more options than simply the trade floor face to face. I have never been so busy meeting with tour operators. Thanks SYTA, see you next year.
