The David L. Lawrence Convention Center is the home of the 2026 SYTA Annual Conference. Situated along the Allegheny River in downtown Pittsburgh, the 1.5 million-square-foot center is a landmark of sustainability, being LEED Gold–certified upon its 2003 completion and later re-certified. Within walking distance, attendees can explore Pittsburgh’s Cultural District, vibrant dining scenes, and a wide range of downtown hotels — providing both convenience and urban charm.

As a convenience for the 2026 SYTA Annual Conference attendees, hotel reservations will be made through Orchid Events, the official housing vendor for the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

RESERVE EARLY for the hotel of your choice! SYTA has negotiated discounted rates for the conference. To secure these rates, you MUST make your hotel arrangements through Orchid Events, the only approved, official housing vendor for SYTA. All correspondence (emails, etc.) will have an official Orchid Events seal.

Please note: Up to 3 (three) rooms can be reserved under one name at each Hotel by attendees. If you do not have all the names in your room block, reserve each room using your name and adding (1), (2) or (3) after your name as an indication that additional names will be provided. A complete list of names should be submitted to Orchid Events no later than June 1, 2026.

PARKING

A 700-car parking garage with an 7′ 8″ clearance is available at the Convention Center. The entrance is located on 10th Street. For more information, please visit: Alco Parking Corporation.

The DLCC also offers bicycle racks in three different locations within the DLCC Garage on Level One and two options on the north side exterior on Ft. Duquesne Boulevard.

Reservations must be made by July 29, 2026, to qualify for the discounted group rate. After that date, rooms and rate are based on availability.

GROUP RATES are available three days before and three days after the conference, based upon availability at the Westin Hotel, Drury Hotel and Omni William Penn Hotel.
Reservation CANCELLATIONS must be made at least 24 hours before the arrival date to cancel without charge.
All reservations require a DEPOSIT equal to one-night room and tax at the time of booking.

Beware of Housing Scams

Please do not make hotel arrangements or share any personal information through any means other than directly through the hotels. If you receive a call or e-mail from an outside company stating they can make your reservation and save you money, this is a deceptive practice and is not in any way affiliated with SYTA. Please DO NOT share any information.

HOUSING POLICIES

SYTA requests that you stay at one of the 2026 SYTA Annual Conference host hotels as SYTA takes a financial risk when securing rooms for the conference. Registrants reserving rooms at other hotels increase this risk, which could result in fewer available rooms and higher room and registration rates in the future. Attendees who stay outside the block will be charged an additional $200.00 after the conference.

If your company has a formal travel policy regarding hotels, please email this information to registration@syta.org. Pittsburgh locals that prefer to commute to our events are exempt from this policy.

Registration

Registration is not required to reserve a room, but SYTA will be checking hotel reservation lists against registered attendees. A room reservation is subject to cancellation if a guest has not registered for the conference by June 3, 2026.

Deposit

All hotel reservations for the 2026 SYTA Annual Conference require a credit card to reserve a room, and this credit card may be charged for a deposit equal to a one-night room and tax three weeks prior to the conference.
