I just wanted to say what a FABULOUS time I had at SYTA in Baltimore. Right from the get go at the hotel there were representatives there to meet me and inform me where to go. Everyone was so kind and registration was very efficient. I appreciated that the volunteers/ employees were easy to spot if I had questions. The trade show floor was easy to navigate and I loved the ice cream social! The lunches were delicious and the Broadway lunch was AMAZING. The other events and outings were thoughtfully organized and really top notch. I felt like a VIP! I appreciate the element of FUN that connected them all. I truly appreciate the headshot session as I now have a beautiful set of headshots for all of my platforms. That was a wonderful add on. My appointments were great, and I had many excellent conversations that I am confident will improve our relationships. I could go on, but I will stop there. I really enjoyed myself and I look forward to the next SYTA event.

When I was first introduced to Winnipeg, I didn’t even know where it was on a map.  However, once I saw everything that Winnipeg has to offer student groups, I was hooked.  From group tours that range from learning about the Hermetic Code at the state building to choirs performing at the incredible Human Rights Museum, from the Assiniboine Zoo to the French history and cuisine of the Boniface neighborhood, from the history of the Forks to the 20th century architecture of the Exchange District, Winnipeg is the perfect destination to leave a lasting impression on all travelers who take the leap to experience it.

Bob Rogers Travel

The group that traveled to Winnipeg was from Park Rapids, MN.  This was their first time traveling and Winnipeg was chosen because it was relativity close while also being a place that many, if not all, of the students had never been before.  Another reason the director chose Winnipeg was because of the pro-active approach to tourism they have by having people like Sarah actively promoting Winnipeg as a student destination.  While I’ve not YET been to Winnipeg myself I learned through Sarah that Winnipeg has a variety of culture to offer, from museums, to performances and everyone is proud and eager to have travelers visit their city.  Sarah not only represented Winnipeg well, creating interest, she was very helpful in offering suggestions of what the group could do and see while in Winnipeg based on their likes and interests. She was also more than willing to suggest eateries for the group that were unique to Winnipeg.  The director mentioned that while in Winnipeg, everyone they met was friendly and very welcoming and they all felt safe. He would recommend Winnipeg as a destination of choice to anyone. Winnipeg is just waiting to be discovered and explored first hand by many at the 2020 SYTA Annual Conference and I for one am looking forward to the experience.
