Discover the Mystery of the Underwater World

February 7, 2018

Aquarium Restaurants in Denver, Houston, Kemah and Nashville provide more than just a scenic dining experience. Each location is home to aquarium tanks that contain more than several thousand gallons of water and house sea life from all over the world.

The aquarium is unique not only in its choice of dining companions but also because guests can participate in immersive educational programs. Students, adults and children can all learn and explore the depths of the ocean through camps, overnights, behind-the-scenes tours and more.

Immerse yourself in the Under the Sea exhibit at the Aquarium Denver. The scuba and snorkel adventures allow guests to swim among the sea creatures in the exhibit. They can choose between snorkeling with fish, diving with sharks or the newest program: Shark Cage Experience. Students can test the waters to find out if they have what it takes to become a marine biologist through Marine Biologist for a Day. The program allows students grades one through 12 to spend the day at the aquarium dissecting squid, watching a dive show and participating in animal feedings.

Spend the night within inches of the beautiful Bengal tigers of the Maharaja’s Temple at the Aquarium Houston. Learn about and explore the rainforests of the world and how to help conserve them. Guests with children have no reason to fret the summer months; students can enroll in the Sea Safari Summer Camp. Children ages 7 – 12 spend the day learning about the animal residents at the aquarium and participate in various activities. Sessions are weeklong, Monday – Friday, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Dive into Coral Communities, Rockin’ the Rainforest and other classroom programs offered at the Aquarium Kemah. Students can learn about the coral reefs and rainforests, or interact with an education animal up-close. Teachers have the option of taking their classroom to the aquarium or having the aquarium come to them. For aspiring chefs, the culinary education program allows guests to tour the aquarium kitchen and engage in a Q&A session with the chef.

Take a look at the inner workings of the Aquarium Nashville. Guests will receive an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour guided by a biologist and learn all about what goes into running the aquarium. Those more interested in learning about the marine life that resides in the tank can attend an educational tour. Guests tour the facility guided by a biologist—all while learning fun facts about the sea creatures and how they are cared for.

Discover the mystery of the underwater world and the animals that live above it through these unique education programs. Explore the aquarium and its inner workings, get an up-close look at sharks and other sea creatures, and spend the summer learning about all the amazing animals that reside in the aquarium … and so much more.
