We have had many questions asking what the difference is between a Leadership Symposium and SYTA’s Summit and we want to make sure we respond to these inquiries. First, the SYTA Summit is a hosted buyer program in which a limited number of business partners funded the program at a resort destination. In the midst of a pandemic, we recognize our next event would not and could not have the same expectations. The Leadership Symposium is at a reduced rate for both tour operators and suppliers along with a special hotel rate. We will maintain the same level of education with speakers to inspire you and round tables to collaborate with your friends and colleagues.

Together, we will build a plan to restart student travel.

We need each other now more than ever. In a city that has seen its fair share of trials and tribulations, Music City will host our first ever SYTA Leadership Symposium on January 21-24, 2021 in downtown Nashville. Nashville’s creative atmosphere will lead us into two days of education and roundtables to help you move forward in a time where it may seem impossible.

Registration is open and there will be no cancellation fees as the situation is ever-changing. Individuals will make their own hotel reservations and The Drury is offering a 24 hours in advance cancellation policy. At this time there is not a virtual registration option. We will be continually monitoring the local safety situation in Nashville and will keep attendees abreast of safety precautions.

Attendees are responsible for their hotel reservation and ground transportation to and from the Drury Plaza Hotel Nashville Downtown.

Located in the heart of “Music City” the Drury Plaza Hotel Nashville Downtown is the perfect location, set minutes away from local attractions. The new 22-story property features a 24 hour gym facility, indoor/outdoor pool and convenient access to Nashville’s best sites, such as Bridgestone Arena, Country Music Hall of Fame and Ryman Auditorium.

Group Hotel Rate: $129 per night single/double occupancy (exclusive of taxes) 

All room rates are exclusive of applicable taxes and fees, which are currently 15.25%. All taxes are subject to change without notice. Conference rates are available three days before and three days after the conference, based upon availability.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Nashville International Airport (BNA) to Drury Plaza Hotel Nashville Downtown: Approximately 13 minutes or 7.8 miles

WeGo Public Transit provides hourly service between downtown and the airport seven days a week. One-way fares between the airport and downtown are available for $2.

Taxis are available from the taxi stand on the ground level of the airport. Nashville features a flat-fee service triangle between the airport, downtown and Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. From point to point, taxi fares are currently set at $25 per cab for up to four passengers; within the triangle, charges should not exceed the flat-rate fare, which should be posted in the rear window of the taxi. Please refer to our Transportation page and search for Taxi for phone numbers and websites of local taxi companies.

Ride Share: Lyft and Uber also provide service in Nashville.

PARKING
Parking is complimentary at the Drury Plaza host hotel. Transportation will be provided to and from the host hotel to the any SYTA hosted events.


Registration

Payment Policy:
For event guarantees and meeting logistics, we are requesting full payment by Friday, January 8, 2021.

Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations will be refunded in full without penalty by Friday, January 8, 2021. SYTA regrets refunds will not be given for no-shows under any circumstances. To be considered for a refund prior to January 8, 2021 or for any substitutions, requests must be submitted in writing via email [email protected].

Event Cancellation:
In the event SYTA must cancel the meeting due to unforeseen circumstances, SYTA will issue a full refund for paid registrations. SYTA is NOT liable for reimbursement of any expenses (including but not limited to transportation, hotel, food and beverage, incidentals) incurred by 2021 Leadership Symposium registered attendees as a result of the event cancellation.

Housing:
SYTA is NOT liable for reimbursement of any hotel expenses incurred as a result of individual or group cancellations or cancellation of the conference by SYTA.
