I am David Henley, Vice President of Operations for Grand Classroom, and I am running for the office of Vice President of SYTA.

SYTA’s strength lies in its diverse membership, and my aim isn’t to impose my vision, but to represent yours. We are united by our commitment to providing safe, enriching experiences for young people, even if our individual approaches differ. I pledge to represent all members—small, large, and international—without any political bias. Together, we’ll reinforce SYTA’s values, bolster the SYTA Youth Foundation’s vital mission through awareness and fundraising, and champion our industry. Is this a vision you share?

Having served on the SYTA Board for the past two years, I’m prepared and enthusiastic to take on the Vice President role. We’re facing economic shifts, which calls for strong, unbiased leadership. Rising costs and geopolitical uncertainties are challenges I’m ready for. My career has been dedicated to student travel, and my experience as SYTA Treasurer and International Committee Chair provides me with a unique perspective on financial stability and membership growth.

I’m eager to serve you, to understand and address the challenges you encounter. Through SYTA, we can collectively achieve our goal of delivering safe and rewarding travel experiences for students and young people. I ask for your vote so I can represent you.
