Candidate for Vice President, SYTA: Jennifer Deutsch

Jennifer Deutsch

Vice President of Domestic Operations, Educational Travel Adventures

SYTA has played a transformative role in my career. I began as a new member, inspired by the depth of knowledge and generosity within the community. I soaked up every bit of insight—learning from seasoned members, forming vendor relationships, and drawing energy from the shared passion that defines SYTA. These experiences fueled both my personal growth and my company’s success.

Over time, I became more involved—volunteering on committees, supporting the Annual Conference and Summit, and building relationships that remain some of the most meaningful in my professional life. Five years ago, I transitioned from volunteer to Board Member and was honored to be re-elected two years ago. Now feels like the right moment to bring all those experiences together in a way that gives back on a larger scale. That’s why I’m running for Vice President.

With nearly three decades of experience in the industry, I’m ready to lead with clarity, compassion, and purpose.

As Vice President, my priorities will be grounded in listening, collaboration, and action. I’ll work with fellow members to navigate complex issues like tariffs, sustainability, DEIA, and more—ensuring SYTA remains a trusted partner in this evolving landscape.

I’m committed to the same mentorship and support that helped me grow in this community. I’ll champion open dialogue to understand what members need most and ensure our responses are thoughtful, effective, and rooted in real-world challenges. Supporting our Committees and elevating their work will be key to keeping SYTA aligned with member priorities.

Above all, I believe in clear and consistent communication—so members feel informed, valued, and confident in our direction. Our industry is changing, and SYTA is uniquely positioned to lead with practical resources, shared best practices, and a culture of collaboration.

Together, we can shape the future of student and youth travel and ensure its continued relevance, growth, and impact.
